PVC expansion sheet and composite board have almost no similarities, and there are many differences. They are all synthetic materials made of plastic. As the name suggests, PVC or polyvinyl chloride is used to make PVC expansion sheets. On the other hand, the composite board contains different kinds of plastic and wood flour or bamboo flour. Composite panels containing wood flour are also called wood-plastic composite panels.
The PVC Expansion Sheet does not contain any additives, which may help it prevent the linear expansion of the board and the underlying molecules from applying heat to the board. Therefore, as long as heat affects the molecules, the long-chain molecules will expand themselves. The extension may be very quiet and may make the board use dangerous. On the other hand, the composite board is composed of wood flooring and plastic and has certain additives to prevent expansion. Therefore, they retain their length and structure even in the presence of heat and warmth for a long time.
Wood-plastic composite material has greater flexibility and can be easily bent, wired, and torn apart, which is particularly suitable for the contours of any space. On the other hand, you can't route wires on the edge of the PVC board and even more, tools are needed to make any modifications. Therefore, if you want to make the board fit the available space perfectly, you need to use a conforming board.
The PVC board shows the uniformity of synthesis, and is less attractive, with poor aesthetics and feel. Because the composite board has wood powder, it has real wood grain carvings and imprints and shows a more natural and true color, which makes the eyes more pleasant. Therefore, laminate flooring and wood boards can improve the aesthetics of any given space.
Both composite board and PVC board have excellent moisture and water resistance. Since WPC boards can better resist temperature changes and will not expand or contract with temperature changes, they are even better than PVC boards when used in a humid environment.
